Hello lovelies, long time huh?

Im laughing as i type this as my best Girl is chasing the cursor on the screen =^.^=. meow.

oh and my iphone is being a complete %£^%&%^*!!!!! so i may need to upgrade to 4s.

I had a lazy start to the new year yesterday . I didnt get to bo bo's till around 2am early hours Sunday morning so i didnt surface till around 12pm later that day.

The thought of a weekend lie in's is dreamy but the reality is too much sleep makes me feel belugh for the rest of the day.

Well anyhoo im not officially back on Slimming world till tuesday. Oh thats right i havent posted about it have i?

Well short version is: Discovered Slimming World, dropped 18lbs in 4 weeks. My workplace gave the whole company permission to eat at our desk's, i thought "hmm Xmas is near i shall enjoy the festive season with food" . Piled the 18lbs back on again :(

So yeah thats that.

I spent yesterday watching The Rachel Zoe Project season 4 and the final episodes of Gossip Girl season 4 ready for Season 5. I know its already aired but i have been mega busy lately and havent had time to watch it.

I have also decided to sell my Nikon D3100. Im almost 100% i shall replace it with the D7000 but may opt for the step up of D5100.

Well other than eating and working and doing photography shoots thats pretty much me up to speed on my life since my last post.

Here are a few pics that i wanted to share.

And i am going to try and post at least 4 - 5 times a week. New Year and all i feel like if i dont at least take pictures then i should at least try and post some pretties.

I cant wait to get back into shoppimng and showing you all my nw pretties.

Hello Lovelies,

Ive been MIA for a few weeks.
Its suddenly become mega busy on the photography front and i have been finding it difficult to grab 20 mins to sit down and write a blog update.

So anyway's i thought i would say hello to you all.

Here are a few pictures of what i have been up to. Not much as im a bit cash poor at the moment.
Spent far too much money on camera equiptment and far too little of pretties.

I also joined Slimming World last week. I know i said i never join there would but i just cant get my head around the new Weigth Watchers plan. Its my 1st weigh in tonight so fingers crossed. Its been really really easy to follow and i have eaten loads of fruit and veg and all fresh stuff.

Hello lovelies,

As i type this my head is banging and i cant swallow. I have the shivers too.
I caught the flu again.

I couldnt wait any longer to type up a blog though.
I went shopping with my lovely friend Amy on Tuesday.

We had a pub lunch and spent 4 hours walking around, she did the buying i did the sighing.

I sighed as i have no spare £. Because i bought the Nikon D3100. I love him.

Im still here......but i have no camera's

Hello lovelies.

I am camera - less.

My Sony Cybershot is shot and my Pentax was sold.

I am going to be upgrading to either a Canon EOS 550D or a Nikon D3100.

It all depends on whether or not my H.R department have paid our bonus for the 28th.

There was a slight mishap and nearly 800 staff may not get paid there bonus till July. A large group of unhappy bunnies.

Anyhow, as i have no camera i cant show pictures of my wantings and buyings.

I have however been working on my photography website. Im planning on going dot.com next tuesday rather than using the current hosting site im on. I just want to have my own domain. Since i started letting people know i will be doing photoshoots rather than just as a hobby for myself i have been inundated and im booked up for work till almost the end of October.

I dont have much to say other than please come back soon and i shall have lots of bloggy goodness for you.

Hello lovelies,

As i write this im having a sickly sweet sugar rush from a Vanilla Whoopie.
Its the 1st time i have tried one and i think probably the last. Very sweet, very filling and now i feel im like a cloud filled up with sugar.

I went on a solitary shopping trip yesterday just for a couple of things down on the high street and today i went full on shop mode with my lovely pal Nicola.

We had our dinner in Nando's. It was Nicola's 1st time in there and she loved it.
I didnt get very much shopping but it felt like we went in every shop. There are lots of nice summery dresses and accessories in the shops at the moment. I dont really want to buy that many new clothes yet just in case i go through with my decision for surgery.
Anyway enough of the waffle here are the pretties:

Im done now for a little while on the shopping front i think. Im spending the day with my husband tomorrow and we are going to his mums for tea. Im off now to find a little sun spot to sit and read my new Jilly Cooper book.

Hello lovelies,

Wow another gorgeous day. Im really loving being off work and getting to enjoy the weather.

I went to town and shopped today - payday thrills.
I wont waffle on much as im really tired and you all want to get to the pictures just like i do.
Oh and ive made an appointment for a consultation @ Transform Medical Group. Im not going to give too much away but i will say that its a huge step for me and will mean major surgery.
I will keep you posted after my appointment next weds.

Ok so before the goodies here is Miss Phoebe kittensworth pretending to be asleep when we can quiet clearly see that she isnt:
I love how her little buddah belly sticks out on the top pic. Before i got her she was a huge pudding of a cat but with a careful diet she is now looking so much more healthier. I love my puddy tat.

I have another trip planned for Saturday with the lovely Nicola and we are off to check out the new Primark in Bury. Im sure i will have lots more to show you by saturday.
So i hope we all enjoy the rest of the lovely weekend to come, and if you are going to watch the Royal Nuptuals hurrah!

£3.50 from scope charity shop - the brand is "Take me with you" and is 100% leather - i have a couple of bags from this brand now - its really soft and buttery leather

J'Adore this - £8.00 from Accessories. i have been lusting after this for a while so i thought i would treat myself :)

This bag looks way more expensive that it was. It was £15.00 from an independant trader who was closing their shop down . It could easily pass as a Marc Jacobs (if i was walking really fast and the admirer was squinting haha)

Ive been after a straw trilby for ages and Primark didnt fail to deliver this beauty £3.00

I was also going to buy this at full price last payday and im glad i waited as i got it today for £4.00 from Primark - hurrah for waiting till its reduced

Ive had this before but lost it so i gots me another £2.00 primark ~ they also have it in pink which i already have

Hello lovelies,
Im poor, bored and restless.

Just like Miss Phoebe Kittensworth here

I dont get paid till tomorrow and ive ran out of things to do that are free.
Im watching SATC the movie 1 for the millionth time. It still doesnt get boring after each time though.
Anyway i decided to glam up my cam.

I have fallen out with my little Sony Cyber shot at the moment. He is being a very naughty boy as his record function wont work - which means i havent been able to record any youtubes videos for a while. My Pentax DSLR doesnt have record function either.

I just dont know whats wrong with him. I may have to get a new one and just use him for pictures.
Anyway here he is with his ickle makeover.
Glam huh?

Im sat here typing this thinking what else i can destroy with glitter nailvarnish.

Well im off to paint my nails in a very "Tiffany" shade, and laze about till tomorrow.

I have planned to go shopping for the next 3 days so im sure to have something more interseting to show you in my next posts.

Goodbye InStyle :(

Hello lovelies,

After adding the new make up desk into my dressing room i had to move a couple of other pieces and it came to light that i just had to do something about my collection of InStyle magazines.

When i moved in with husband in June 2008 i thought i would start a fresh with my collection and left at my parent's house (where i had been living for the past 3 years since 2005) my collection from mid 2005 - May 2008.
My poppa bear has since told me that the ones i left there "went to live on a farm" sniff :(

Before my move in 2005 I had previously been collecting since 2000 but i had to leave that huge 5 years worth pile at the house where i lived before moving back home with my parents. Im not going to go into why i left that house as it a very private/sad matter but i will say that the only regret i have is not taking my magazine collections with me.

Red, InStyle, Marie Claire, Glamour (every issue from the 1st one!) and Happy (no longer published) I had a huge stack of each. It makes me sad to think of what became of them. I dont think they went to live on a farm!

Anyway, i now have the decision of what to do with the InStyle. They are extemely heavy and when stacked on top of each other like below they get crushed. I havent got a spot for them im the flat that wont spoil them by crushing them or crush the place that i stack them on i.e a shelf.

If you look at the picture closely you can see Feb 2011 is missing - i know its in the flat somewhere - i just havent found it yet. I think its with my love letters as i was taking pictures of valentine articles for ideas back in Feb.

So yesterday i decided that i would either store them in a plastic box container in the scary cupboard (for scary see *full of spiders where the electric mains live) or pass them onto friends at work. To do that i would have to lug them into work. Maybe a couple at a time. Would my work friends really want to read a mag up to 3 years out of date?
To me though they are my treasure. I have never missed an issue of this mag since i started collecting in 2000.

After reading through them all yesterday this is what i will have left.

Im a cutter - outerer!

I collect pictures and stick them into notebooks to inspire me.
I have one for outdoor shots of places and beaches, one for wish lists of things i want to buy and one that i use to inspire me to try and stay strong and not over-eat - i call that one my "stylish thinspiration".
So what to do? Pass them on?
Keep them stored away i the hope i may read them again if they dont get damaged in the scary cupboard?
Any ideas?

Rescued

Hello lovelies.

I have been working hard this week - would love to be able to share what i do for a living but sadly i can't sorry. I work in Government and it has a serious side to it.
Rest assured it was brain taxing so i am fully deserving of THE NEXT 12 DAYS OFF!
Trumpets and fanfare ~ hurrah which clever girl booked 3 days off and got 12 for the same price. Moi!
Due to the impending Royal Wedding there has come about a very lucky run of days - ive booked 26th - 28th off and finished work on 21st April right up to the 3rd May.

Well just as i thought the weather was getting decent it starts to rain. Typical - last week it was sunny and now im on holiday the rain comes out.
To pass the time till the next ray of sunshine i have been painting everything i can get my hands on.
Just before the rain started last night i closed my windows and outside i saw that someone had left a dinky little cupboard with the refuse. It must have been placed there within the last hour of me looking out the window as it wasnt there at about 5pm.

Anyway i digress.
Long story short i rescued a cupboard, painted it white and voila!
New make up storage cupboard display.

I have another couple of projects lined up and will show you as soon as they are finished.
Now im off for a cuppa tea and a snuggly from husband.

Sunday light

Hello lovelies,
Its really sunny today.

I should be outside enjoying the sun but before i do that i just wanted to show you todays shiny.

My good friend Rozana makes her own jewellery and when i mentioned to her that i had taken all the swarovski crystals off my wedding dress bodice and saved them in a little tub she told me to give them to her as she had a surprise for me.

Well two days later she brought me back a bracelet made up of the crystals.
Its so pretty.
When the sun catches it you can see rainbow fractions.
It made me so happy to think that rather than being stuffed in a suitcase, part of my wedding dress can be worn any time i feel like it now.

She added a sterling silver fastening so it would last forever.
I really do love it and i think its a great idea.
What do you think?

The grey bracelet is from Primark and cost £1.50. I just wanted to show you this as i think it looks more expensive than it actually was and if you didnt know it was from primark it could easily pass as River Island or even Topshop. I bought it on the 28th March so it should still be being sold in Primark.

As fresh as Eau Daisy

Hello Lovelies,
Its been a while.
Firstly my PC decided to eat up all the virus's in the whole of the internet and it took me an age to wipe the computer to nothing and rebuild, and secondly i have been painting my kitchen from tired yellow to fresh brilliant white. Its not finished yet but another couple of days and i will be there.

So that explains the absence from my blog...so im really sorry.

Well i thought i would write up a little post about some of the things i have picked up in the last couple of weeks.
I have been lusting after Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau so Fresh for a while now but i just havent had the money to get it since Christmas.

The company i work for has a very large staff canteen/kitchen and they select sellers to come in and sell their stuff to the staff. There are over 800 people where i work so its very lucrative for the different sellers.
We have about 8 or 9 different ones each month so theres always something exciting to want/need/buy.

Frangrance direct came to work yesterday. So i picked up the Daisy. I was going to spend £51.99 on the 125ml as they let you pay on payday but i though that maybe i could get the same size bottle with a possible gift with purchase at another shop. I went for the 20ml box set with a 15ml refil and funnel for £24.99.
I love this perfume. I still do like the original scent but this one is a little sweeter. And the dinky bottle is adorable.

Also this week we had a lady who is an independant seller and she was selling bag's, make up and jewellery. Some of the make up was high end like Stila Urban Decay, YSL, and Dior.

Gorgeous items but lots of pennies which i dont have till 28th, and there was a particular brand that was very questionable in its authenticity if you know what i mean.

It begins with M.

I asked her how she had managed to get hold of the stock to be able to sell it so cheap. She said it was stock that was no longer within a collention (?) and i was like O_O with my eyes as i know this certain brand only retails in large dept store's and this particular collection sold out so why would they get rid of stock at a lower price to sell to this lady?

I stayed away from that range as it looked so plastic and FAKE! She was nice about my questions but i totally didnt believe her :)

I just want to point out that i didnt say it meanly to her i was just curious as i knew it wasnt real. The rest of her stuff was authentic.

There was a box at the front of her stall with a few bits of make up in it and had price stickers from £5.00 to £10.00. I picked up a two faced lip balm without a sticker and asked her how much it was. She said that everything in the box was £1.00.

Well you can guess what i did.......yes i bought lots.
Here is what i picked up for a £1.00 each:

Hard Candy Midnight snack kit gloss a levres. Root Beer, Raspberry Sorbet, Chocolate Pie and Whipped Cream and Strawberries. Love love love these and they taste like they smell.

Loves it.
Im looking forward to wearing it when summer finally gets here.

And finally this gorgeous bracelet. I got it from ASDA and it was only £3.00. I love the colours when the light hits it.

Hello lovely readers.
Ive been sick, i still am poorly, but im alot better than i was.

Its started wednesday evening..but before i pap on about that..
I got a new Blackberry.
Ive had one before and i didnt like it as i couldnt connect to the internet at the time and it was just meh!
Well im up and running with this new one and im loving her.

So i went to the Trafford Centre on Wednesday evening with a couple of friends from work. We had a great time and spent hours looking around the shops at all the pretties. We had a nom nom tea at Pizza hut too.

I did purchase a couple of things from Selfridges.

It's genuine. Ive checked it and compared it and its 100% genuine. I admit its is used and a little worn on the front locks but its still lovely.

Why would someone sell this! The actual end price after bidding was £11.33 but out of that i got 1 super cute beige purse and 3 leather purses one of which is MJ!

The other winning bid was a Clinique make up set whic is really nice.

Oasis "escape" collection - leather and just very lovely. Like a travel wallet i think

I guessing the seller got this from Primark as i looks like my barrell bag from there

I got sick wednesday night and didnt get out of bed for 2 days. I think i may have caught tonsilitus but i cant be sure. I didnt go to my Dr's. I just thought i would be better off sleeping it off and staying put. Im still coughing alot but i cant walk about now without wanting to faint and keel over.

Its a lovely sunny Sunday outside now so i think i will sign off and nip to the supermarket for a salad and a few other things.

Sweet charity

Hello lovelies.

I worked till 9pm last night so i thought i deserved a lovely lie in this morning.
Had a bit of a headache too as i wore my hair in Japanese style buns yesterday and they were a bit tight so my head is sore this morning.

When we finally decided to get up, me and hubby took his mum out for late breakfast at a local diner/cafe. Had a scrummy brekky and a nice cup of tea.

We then had a wander round the shops and i picked up a few nice items from some charity shops.

Weekend slowdown

Hello Lovelies,

Went to Nicola's for tea after work on Friday. She invited a few girlies from work and fed us delicious food. We had burrito's, Nacho's and Fajita's. I even ate kidney beans. Ive hated kidney beans ever since i saw a tv programme when i was about 5 which said if you didnt cook them propely they can kill you.
Ive been scared of them even since.
They kind of taste like beans. Hold the front page!

I was glad of the girly evening because i spent Thursday night in pain. I had my 1st personal tranier appointment at the gym and by god did he train me.
I left hurting like a hurty thing. He gave me a programme to follow which will transform me into a godess, I just need to break the pain barrier. My muscles have been on honeymoon since...well...my honeymoon in 2009.
I got home after the gym and had a nice warm bubble bath and hit the hay. Husband came home around midnight after the cinema to find me fast asleep.

So back to friday, we had drinkies and giggles and listened to music. Was lovely to spend time with girly friends.

Had a lazy saturday morning mooching on PC and reading blogs.

Played in my dressing room last night also.
Gravitated towards my jewellery boxes. I have a few pairs of earrings that have straight posts and dont hang on my regular stands:

The straight posts ones were always falling off. Hence them being put away in the jewellery boxes.

I had a little idea last night and so this morning i thought i would give it a go.
I hung them on a wine glass with their little rubber stoppers as support. I filled the glass with beads from a necklace and my grans crystal necklace and i think it looks grand.

And now all my dangly earrings are very well behaved.

I also dressed my tailor shop dummy in my favourite Warehouse jacket. It give me a little thinspiration. I choose something that i really want to fit back into and start wearing again and put it on her. When i walk into my dressing room and see her it reminds me to not over - eat. I call her betsy.

I might make this a feature on my blog to show you all the clothes i have and want to fit back into.

Hopefully i can wear them for real very soon.

Some new additions

Hello readers,

So my Benefit "Justine Case" finally arrived in the post. I got this from a promotion by O2. I signed up for their simplicity sim, then had to top up a min of £15.00 and had to text a code back which was in conjunction with Benefit and voila one free Justine Case. Guess what. They sent me two by mistake. In seperate packages. Hurrah for extra free freebies. I gave one to my good friend Nicola who is an avid Benefit fan. Made both our days.

Fragrance Direct came to work today aswell.

And i had to have a little something.
The good thing is with this company is that they dont debit your bank account till payday.

I decided on a couple of new scents, One of which i have been dying to try.
Valentino Rock and Dreams.
My good friend at work wears it and she always smells amazing.

The other is Marc Jacobs Lola. To be honest i really really wanted the free leather purse that came with. Fickle i know.
I also bought a bottle of Marc Jacobs Daisy. I love this also but ive never had a bottle of it.

They were also giving away samples of Prada L'eau Amber. A very grown up scent. Not sure if im keen on it.

I joined a super dooper gym.
Ive lost 7lb in 2 weeks.
I havent really shopped for 3 weeks so roll on pay day 28th.
I spent most of yesterday evening in A&E - My mother in law was taken in for breathing difficulties but all is well now.
I had an appraisal at work and i got good feedback.

Other than that its pretty much same old same old.

I got a little bored tonight aswell so i played in my dressing room changing a few things here and there.
I do this alot.

Hi Hi lovelies
Just a quick Monday morning post.

I have the remainder of the Nails Inc. varnishes that i wanted. Hurrah.

I also nipped into Store Twenty One and picked up a new coat and work skirt - some pictures to follow once im ready for work.

I rescused a little pearl bracelet from the shelves for £1.50 too.

Which was followed into my basket by a cute little military style beret and a sparkly snoody scalf.
Its not a bad shop - they have only just opened so they are not quite there yet with all the products on the shelves.

I also nipped into asda for a few items and picked up a boyfriend style watch for £10.00 and a set of 4 varnishes. I only wanted the gold and black but hey ho.

New perfume and Magazines

I bought some perfume at work on Thursday from Fragrance Direct. They come to my work place about once a month and dont process the payments till payday (15th for my workplace.)

Hurrah for FD!!!

As i have used up the last of my fave Coleen i thought i would treat myself.
I went a little nuts.
Shameful i know...

£28.99 for 60ml: great price.

£50.00 for 100ml eau de toilette...oopsy i couldnt help it.

£15.00 for 30ml - standard in most shops

Lancome "Glamour on the go" pallette £19.99 - this retails at £32.00 in Debenhams ~insert happy face~

I also picked up InStyle and Glamour from the supermarket.
Glamour are giving away a Nail Inc. full size varnish 10ml with the December issue.
Although i love a freebie im a bit unsure about Nails Inc. at the moment. I have had mixed feelings about the brand for a while. Some bottles can be thick and have great coverage and nice consistancy, and then other times i pick up a real doozy thats watery and just wrong.

I picked up Saville Row which is a nice deep plum purple colour. One coat seems to be thick and covered very well. Looks like i made the right choice, although i may go back for the mushroomy colour too.

There's a light baby pink called Warwick Ave which i already have, a deep burgundy red named Hamstead Heath, theres also a soft taupe mushroom colour called Jermyn Street.
I dont get paid till Monday so i will have to wait to get the Jermyn Street.
Oh well.

My kitty cat Phoebe has settled in really well and has different "voices" to tell me what she wants. She purrs so much and that makes me happy.

Ive just discovered that out of focus pictures need not be deleted.
After uploading a picture onto Flickr of "whats in my bag" it has had over 345 hits already. So i thought i would do the same for some of my jewellery.
I didnt know that while taking the first picture my camera wasn't focused and when i looked at it i went "wow!"

Its alot harder than you think to get pictures to look shiny when not in focus and below is the best of the bunch.

Love Sundays...

Hello lovelies,

I went to a Halloween party last night thrown by my brother and his girlfriend.
My costume was Deadly Dorothy ( but a few guests thought i was Malice in Horrorland....did my huge red glittery shoes not give them a clue? guess not). My wig didnt stay on for long. Darn itchy scratchy thing.
I had such a great time and met a couple of new people.
One of my brothers friends Paul told me that he was interested in the paranormal and was in a group who conducted things conected with Paranormal activity and goings on. They arent taking any new members at the moment (pah!) but i really enjoyed meeting him and getting to know what he does. A really nice guy.

I had a little drinkie and enjoyed chatting and seeing friends i hadnt seen in a while.
Im having a lazy Sunday today, Husband is watching the NFL later and im catching up with blogs i read and youtubes vids that i subscribe to.

Painted my nails a lovely purple colour this morning too. The varnish is out of a set i bought from Boots from the company Frontcover. The name of the colour is deep purple. It comes out more blue in the picture but is in fact a nice metalic purple blue.

So i mentioned that i would take some pictures of the SATC 2 book. It doesnt stand up very well on its on and i need 2 hands to focus my camera without flash so ive done as best i can.
Also the new issue of Marie Clare is out....with another freebie.

Whats better than a freebie?

Two freebies.
This months Marie Clare are giving away a nail varnish in 2 lovely colours. They are from a company called Ciate and the varnishes are called "paint pots".
The colour i chose (or chose me) is called Dangerous Affair. Its 13.5 ml which is larger than normal size varnishes i usually buy.
I cant tell you what the other colour that they are giving away is because ASDA only had the one shade left. The mag costs £3.50 and i think that its worth buying just for the freebie alone. InStyle are also offering 25% off from orders on the website ciate.co.uk. I just noticed on the picture below..white chocolate varnish remover...OMG!

The other happy happy joy joy is a nail and hand cream from L'Occitaine which comes in 30ml size.
This comes on the cover of InStyle mag. Which also have the darling Ginnifer Goodwin on the cover.

There are 3 choices available: Fleur Cherie (orange blossom and neroli) Original scent (just erm lotiony smell) and Cherry Blossom (they didnt have this choice either so i will pick this up from WH Smiths at the weekend. I opted for Fleur Cherie as i have had original before and thought the cherie was the best out of the two.
The mag costs £3.somethingorother which again is worth it for the gift. I think these lotions retail in the region of £10.00 from boots. Not sure on this one.
Will just ask Mr Google.......

Mr Google says the scents are new and not available in the shops yet but 150ml original retails at £16.50 and travel size 30ml retails at £7.00. So for £3.bipdebop you get a great read and lovely soft hands, BRILLIANT!

Hello lovelies,

I went on a double shopping trip this weekend.
I bought a couple of dresses on Friday after work for a night out with my new team. I didnt end up wearing either of them. As i only had an hour to buy something i rushed and made rubbish choices. Isnt that always the way. Here we all are below.
After a few drinks in a local bar below we ended up going into town. I have a picture of me spinning round a dancers pole which i may.....(ahem! maybe not) add on at a later date.

I took both dresses back to town on saturday and exchanged them for 1 dress for a party on Saturday night.
It was a lovely jumper dress with embelishments and chains on the shoulder. i was trying to pull a mean face here. My brother took the picture and its a thing we do when either of us is taking a picture of each other. Id rather be the one taking the pictures than have my picture taken.
Gah! hates it. >.<

I bought some other lovely stuff on Saturday in town.

Blackpool rocks...

Went to the coast with hubby and friends yesterday.
It was a kind of wedding anniversary day out.

We all had a wonderful time and walked along the whole length of the beach.

We stopped off on each pier and went in a few arcades to have a go of the slot machines and had fish and chips for tea.

We finished the day by driving through the lights and heading home at around 10.30pm.

I took my Pentax with me and managed to snap some really good pics.

Some of them look almost as if we were abroad in the med!

Down time

Hello lovelies,

I have 2 whole weeks ahead of me on annual leave from work. Thats 14 days all to myself. Bliss.

Hubby and i work at the same place and we booked the time off together so we could go on holiday for our 1 year wedding anniversary. Sadly we haven't saved up enough pennies so we will be staying in England.
Weve got days out here and there planned and a few catch up's with our families. I will be taking my camera everywhere to capture lots of pictures.

Ive also got a shopping trip planned for the 15th (payday aka yayday) and i will most likey be going to either the Trafford Centre or Manchester city centre. I will do a nice little vlog/blog on the pretties i buy.

This week i have mostly done this:

I have both the books on the go at the moment and am alternating between the two (when Silence gets a bit gruesome i swap back to Coco).

Manchester: Airport and Art

Phew, what a week.

Ive just had a full week back at work doing my full time hours and i can honestly say im mentally "pooped".
I had to visit an occupational Therapist for a work review yesterday.
Their offices' are all the way over at Manchester Airport. To get there i had to go by train so i thought i would take my camera with me.
I took a few "arty" snaps of Manchester from the train window, you can see them below, Ive been trying to capture the perfect image to upload onto Flikr.
I didnt take any pictures at the airport. Me thinks that would have been too "planespotter". My attention was also caught by a huge billboard at Bolton train station with Uma Thruman looking stunning.

Giulietta is most becoming...

The weather was really warm yesterday at the Airport and it made me think of holidays and being lucky enough to be flying abroad somewhere sunny.
Hubby and i are making plans for a nice holiday next August. We are going to save up for a whole year to have the kind of trip where we have no worries about splashing out on fun things to do.
Thats going to be motivation for me to lose a few stones and increase the exercise.

Its Saturday today and i have the flat to myself as hubby has gone meeting a few pals to do some script writing. (If anyone is interested in watching him in a short film that the production company he helps with did, then check out this link . Hubby is the one who answers the phone.....)

DKNY bag v good condition. I have used this so its not perfect but its clean. Yours for the really good price of £7.00. Included is the dust bag. Same or similar cloured ones are still selling on ebay from anything up to £15.00 - £20.00

Storage V's Space

Hello lovelies,

I finally got rid of the big chunky clunky wooden wardrobe that was here before i moved in. Phew!!!!
It's been passed on to a good home so ive done my bit for recycling.
However, this left me with a dilema.
I now have more space but less storage room. The only wardrobe i have now is a canvas one which is adequate for my clothes (cos to be honest im "off" clothes at the moment).

Apart from clothes, I used to kept lots of bags, belts and other items in it which now have no home.

So what to do??

Im thinking of doing a BLOG SALE to pass on all the items that have just been sitting in the wardrobe unloved and needing new "mummys". Its going to take me a few days to take all the photographs and write all the descriptions but i will do it before next weekend.

Ive just been discussing the colour of the room with hubby too and flat matt blue is nice but i want it fresh and bright.

After painting the hallway and bathroom brilliant white i still have half of a 10 litre tub left over. So come Bank Holiday weekend me and Aaron will be shifting all my stuff out of there and giving it a "paintover".

Here is what it looks like this afternoon.

I swear this room has had at least 10 changes while i have been living here the past two and a half years.

So once i have painted the room and got all my stuff back in i will do a "before and after" post.

Another little aside:
My Cobra CMC 80mm - 200mm zoom lens came for my new camera and its amazing. I haven't had chance to go out and use it yet but i may venture out tomorrow to have a play with it. For those of you that are not familiar with SLR terminology (like i know what im papping on about?) its equivalent of a 20 - 25 x optical zoom. Which roughly translates as "it gets right up close and personal".

DKNY...A little love affair

Hello lovelies,

My 2 ebay items arrived today and im glad to say they are very nice. They were both sold together for the bargain price of £3.20 plus postage.

While i was photographing them i though "meh why not take pictures of all my DKNY bags and do a collection post"

So here they all are:

The 2 bags below were sold on ebay.

The 1st one was lovely but didnt hold very much inside it and i never got to use it so i let it go.

The second one is a picture i "borrowed" from ebay as i never took a picture of the one i had. Mine was brown. I sold it because again i never used it.

I love a touch of DKNY to my day. Whats your fave bag designer/brand?

Monday Monday: impromtu shopping

Hello lovelies,

I was due to have my 1st counselling session this afternoon in town but due to personal circumstances of the counsellor he had to cancel. This turned into an impromtu shopping trip for me. I was very frugal and only purchased 3 items (ive lost my shopping mojo i tell you!).
H&M have some really nice summery items in at the moment.

Here is what i picked up:

I also walked through Debenhams on my way and had a spray of the Benefit "Rita" perfume. I sprayed it on a card and have put this in my undewear drawer. The scent very fruity and musky at the same time. Im not sure about it yet.....

I nipped into Morrison's on my way to the bus-stop and picked up a super duper large salad for my dinner/tea. Nommy nommy nom.
Overall apart from the cancelled meeting, Monday wasnt quiet that bad.

New camera and a little bit of shopping

So i finally got an SLR camera after coveting them for ages....

I picked up a Pentex K-m from a local Trade Exchange shop in Town, I can't take a picture of it as my other camera is at my sisters as she is borrowing it so ive added a link to show what it looks like here

The camera retails anything between £350 - £400 online as new.
I paid just over £200 which im very happy about.
I took it to my local park today and had a little go of it. Its difficult to figure out how to understand the settings so for now ive got it set on autopicture till i learn how to use the blimmin thing

Back to work...

Hello lovelies,
Im planning on going back to work this week after being off for 8 weeks.
Im not going to dwell on the reasons why ive been off other than to say im still not "fixed" or better but im getting there.

Im still low but its time i started thinking more positive.
On that note i bring you the fabulousness that is Flickr.

I have made a few galleries while i have been on and i can tell you that looking at pictures and seeing other peoples creativity has made me realise that i need to enjoy life more than ever.

Some of the work people have displayed on here is amazing. A real inspiration for me.

Ive started my own page with the pictures i have taken. If you want to look at mine then check out Jupiterjones1 on the site.

However, hubby and i went for a walk in the local park for some fresh air and to see what pictures i could take and my Little Sony Cybershot (who has served me well for 2 years) just doesnt have the zoom and power i want/need.

Therefore im giving serious thought to buying this little baba:

The link is an excerpt from a blog. It doesnt go on UK sale/release till 16th August which just happens to be the day after payday.

Im also going to be enrolling in a nightclass for Creative Hairdressing - Introduction: at my local community centre and the course is due to start on 28th Sept. Its only costing £48.00 for an 8 week course but i believe it will be a good start for me to get some experience in cutting hair.

My 2 main passions at the moment are taking pictures and thinking about becoming a hairdresser.

So with all this in mind today despite it being a rainy Monday afternoon i cant help but feel positive for the future im shaping for myself.

Instyle Magazine Sept 2010 issue giveaway

This months Instyle Magazine comes with a Bodyshop lip product Giveaway.

Instyle are giving away a lip and Cheek stain in 2 colours.
They are 8ml and i think this is a fullsize product. To buy the item retail in The Bodyshop they are £8.00 each.
There is Bronze Glimmer and Rose Pink.
I chose rose pink.

The product is thin in consistency, kind of like jelly before it has set.

Here is a picture with just 1 coat of stain:

And here is a picture with gloss applied over 1 coat (H&M Strawberry and Mint):

If you wanted a more deeper colour then just wait till each application has dried and apply more.

I applied it over an hour ago and have been drinking Diet Coke and it looks like i only just applied it, wow staying power.

Ive never used lip stains before. Im going to give this a whirl because A it was free and B i think my pout looks delish.
